Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 26 May 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SchoolVerse, a product of Saphala Technologies. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must also agree on your behalf.

Part A — Individual Learners (B2C)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering or signing in, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Device Usage Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use SchoolVerse.

2. Eligibility and Parental Consent

SchoolVerse is designed for learners of all ages. If you are under 13 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must create your account and provide verifiable consent. If you are 13–17, you may register yourself but parental awareness is encouraged. By registering, you confirm you meet the minimum age requirement or have parental consent.

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account with another person. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. Notify us immediately at support@schoolverse.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. One-Device Policy

To protect learning integrity, XP accuracy, and paid-access security, each account is linked to one primary device at a time. Attempting to access your account from more than three different devices within a 30-day window may trigger an account review. If you change your primary device, you may request a reset — see our Device Usage Policy for the full process.

5. Paid and Free Access

Some courses and features on SchoolVerse are available for free; others require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. All paid access is personal and non-transferable. Sharing paid access, using another person's account, or accessing paid content through unofficial means is prohibited and will result in account suspension. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

All educational content on SchoolVerse — including videos, animated lessons, GCEs, labs, flashcards, and assessments — is the intellectual property of Saphala Technologies or its licensed partners. You may access this content for personal, non-commercial learning only. You may not download, redistribute, reproduce, or commercially exploit any content. Learner- generated data (notes, quiz answers, progress records) belongs to you; we process it only as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. XP, Streaks, and Achievements

Experience Points (XP), streaks, badges, and leaderboard rankings are purely educational motivational metrics. They hold no monetary value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be redeemed for cash or external benefits. XP awarded by completing legitimate learning activities reflects real engagement. Artificial inflation of XP through automation, account sharing, or exploit abuse will result in forfeiture of all XP and account suspension. SchoolVerse reserves the right to recalibrate XP values for fairness at any time.

8. AI Mentor and Analytics Disclaimer

SchoolVerse includes Saphala Sage (AI Mentor), an AI-assisted learning companion powered by deterministic algorithms and generative AI models. Sage provides educational guidance only — it is not a qualified counsellor, therapist, or expert advisor. AI-generated feedback may occasionally be imperfect. Always cross-reference important information with your teachers or qualified professionals. SchoolVerse collects learning analytics (quiz scores, time-on-task, lesson completion) solely to personalise your learning experience. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Refund Principles

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Our detailed refund terms are in the Refund Policy. In summary: eligible refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase, before meaningful progress has been made on the purchased course.

10. Acceptable Conduct

You agree to use SchoolVerse only for lawful, legitimate learning purposes. Full conduct rules are in our Acceptable Use Policy. Key prohibitions: cheating, impersonation, distributing test answers, harassment, and attempting to reverse-engineer the platform.

11. Account Suspension and Recovery

SchoolVerse may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the platform, or if required by law. We will attempt to notify you before suspension unless the violation is severe or poses a risk to others. You may appeal a suspension by contacting appeals@schoolverse.app within 14 days. Accounts inactive for more than 24 months may be archived; data will be retained per our Privacy Policy before deletion.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Saphala Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of SchoolVerse, including loss of progress data due to technical failures, interruptions to service, or inaccuracies in AI-generated content. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant service in the 3 months preceding the claim.

13. Policy Updates

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.

Part B — Schools and Institutions (B2B)

14. Institutional Access

Schools, coaching centres, and other educational institutions ("Institutions") may access SchoolVerse under a separate institutional agreement or subscription. Institutional access grants the right to provision learner accounts up to the agreed seat limit. Institutional access does not grant ownership of SchoolVerse content or infrastructure.

15. Administrator Responsibilities

The Institution's designated SchoolVerse Administrator is responsible for: creating and managing learner and teacher accounts; ensuring all users comply with these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy; promptly deactivating accounts of students or staff who leave the Institution; and maintaining the confidentiality of admin credentials.

16. Learner Data Handling

By deploying SchoolVerse to learners, the Institution confirms it has obtained any necessary consents from learners and their parents/guardians as required by applicable data protection law (including DPDP Act, 2023 for Indian Institutions). SchoolVerse will process learner data solely as a data processor on behalf of the Institution for the purpose of delivering educational services.

17. Tenant Isolation

Each Institution operates as an isolated tenant on SchoolVerse. Learner data belonging to one Institution is not accessible to or shared with any other Institution. SchoolVerse employs server-side tenancy controls to enforce this separation. Institutions may not attempt to access data outside their tenant boundary.

18. Licensing and Seat Limits

Institutional subscriptions are licensed per seat (active learner account). Creating more active accounts than the licensed seat count is prohibited. SchoolVerse monitors seat usage and reserves the right to suspend excess accounts or invoice for overage. Unused seats do not carry forward to the next subscription period.

19. School Branding and White-Label Limits

Where a white-label or co-branding arrangement has been agreed in writing, the Institution may display its name and logo within the platform's designated branding zones. The Institution may not remove SchoolVerse branding from shared content, replace core SchoolVerse UI elements, or imply to end-users that the platform was built exclusively by the Institution without SchoolVerse's prior written consent.

20. Restriction on Copying and Reverse Engineering

Institutions and their staff may not copy, scrape, reproduce, decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer any part of the SchoolVerse platform, its algorithms, AI models, or educational content. Bulk data exports beyond those explicitly provided by the platform's export features are prohibited without prior written authorisation.

21. Termination and Suspension Rights

Either party may terminate the institutional agreement with 30 days' written notice. SchoolVerse may suspend an Institution's access immediately if: (a) payment is overdue by more than 14 days; (b) the Institution is found to have materially breached these Terms; or (c) continued access poses a risk to the platform or other users. Upon termination, learner data will be provided in a portable format upon request for 30 days, after which it may be deleted.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts located in Andhra Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to the use of SchoolVerse, Saphala Elevate, or associated services.
